Food Addiction

This past year I’ve done close to 20 consultations with my weight management program. Nearly averaging 2 consults a month assisting individuals with roadmaps to wellness. However, everyday I’m at the store I’m doing mini consults with new and existing clients. In 2025 I’m customizing my weight management program to do the real work. I’ve been assessing my preconsult questionnaires and have found a large correlation in which every client shows signs of having an Addiction to Food. We will never reach the pinnacle of the pyramid of Self Actualization if we don’t first identify that we have a problem. One of my favorite tenets of Psychology is Addictive Behavior and this I’m sure is predicated by growing up in a home with relatives battling alcohol and drug addictions. I will no longer pacify individuals by going along with their “persona of being ok” when we are in fact not ok. Food Addiction is not just a you or Jai problem it’s a problem for our country as a whole. According to the most recent research from the University of Michigan, 14% of adults and 12% of children in the US have a food addiction. 12% of the US Population is roughly 40 Million people. Yea I woke up in my Bag today and I’m ready to do the work. Because my name is Jai and I had a Food Addiction. The first step to recovery is admitting that you have a problem. Who’s ready to work?
